‘The Avengers’ Deleted Dark Alternate Opening Scene (Video)

 

The Avengers Blu-ray, set to arrive on September 25, is yielding some of its extras for advance viewing and this deleted scene is an intriguing one.

Courtesy of Yahoo!, the scene was originally intended to serve as the opening of the film. It depicts New York already in shambles, with Maria Hill(Cobie Smulders) facing unseen interrogators and commenting, rather harshly, about the roles of Nick Fury and The Avengers in what has transpired.
